Stress-busting, Immune Supporting Tea Recipe

I am a tea junkie.  I have an entire shelf of my pantry devoted to store bought tea bags and loose leaf boxes, as well as mason jars filled with homemade herbal concoctions.  This is my current favorite stress buster when I’m feeling tired, overwhelmed, and a bit anxious.  Enjoy!

Ingredients: 4 cups of water 3 Tbsp. loose leaf tulsi tea 2-3 heaping tsp of fresh ginger, grated (substitute with 1-2 tsp dry ginger if needed) ½ tsp turmeric powder Honey to taste

Directions: Boil 4 cups of water in a small pot. Once boiling, remove from heat. Stir in the tulsi, grated ginger and turmeric. Let steep for 6-8 minutes. Strain into two big mugs. Once the temperature has cooled a bit, add a small amount of honey to taste. 

Note: Turmeric gives "the golden kiss", and will leave a yellow stain on fabric. Be careful to keep away from rambunctious toddlers!
